Switching from AList to OpenList for Cloud Drive Mounting

Switching from AList to OpenList for Cloud Drive Mounting

alist

After using alist for a few days, I finally configured Baidu Netdisk.

I recall seeing posts on v2 about alist, seemingly concerning its closed-source nature, acquisition, and potential for malicious code.

Then I saw a fork of alist from the same period, openlist.

For safety’s sake, I still need to take the time to switch to openlist.

openlist

I saw a comment saying, “The dragon slayer eventually becomes the dragon.”

Perhaps openlist won’t be an exception either, and won’t be 100% secure.

I don’t have any particularly critical operations myself, so I just need it to be as secure as possible, at least open-source and free.

I’ll take some time to deploy and try it out, see how it performs. If it still doesn’t work, I’ll try something else.

Like rclone or something else.

Cloud Storage

Currently, I mainly use Baidu Netdisk and Quark Netdisk.

Each has its own advantages.

Baidu Netdisk maximizes upload and download speeds.

Quark Netdisk has an advantage in video playback.

Other

It’s a good opportunity to deploy openlist on a mini PC as a stable application.
