Google Webmasters: All Indexed, No Ranking

0 Indexing

Not a single article has been indexed.

Currently, I’ve written about 70 articles on my blog, over approximately 2 months.

At the beginning of the second month, about 10 articles were indexed. Then, after Google’s May algorithm update, my blog went straight to 0 indexing.

All my articles are original, but Google still does not appear to index them consistently. At the same time, some AI-generated content, automated sites, and spammy link farms still appear in search results.

At this stage, the search experience feels inconsistent and discouraging for a new independent blog.

Bing

Bing, I went from valuing it highly at first, to giving up on it, and now I’m paying attention to it again.

Only Bing indexes some of my content and brings in a few clicks.

Internet

The internet was down for 5 hours today.

I realized that without internet, I can’t do anything. Internet and electricity are fundamental; we must be prepared.

Internet speed is also very important.

Let’s Talk About Phones

Currently, I’ve learned that many people remove their phone batteries and convert them to direct power supply.

They can be used as car displays or personal servers, or old phones can serve as digital photo frames, etc.

The main reason is that batteries are prone to swelling, and a swollen battery can explode or catch fire.

Another option is Android development boards, or Raspberry Pi with LineageOS installed, etc.

While development boards are always safe and stable, they aren’t very cost-effective and aren’t easily portable.

I checked, and phones offer 3 to 5 times the performance-to-price ratio of development boards, especially concerning on-device AI capabilities.

Phones can install Linux and countless apps. However, development boards install systems in tablet mode, which is still different from a phone’s installed system. Some software identifies tablets, and thus won’t run on such devices or allow account logins.

Therefore, all things considered, I still plan to conduct business using actual phones, old phones, etc.

Although battery swelling carries risks, I’m willing to take that chance.

Currently, I have a pile of old phones at home; either throw them away or replace the batteries and continue using them.
