Visual Content and API Settings for x

X

Its original name was Twitter.

I don’t have the habit of posting short text-image updates, and I rarely check X or post on X.

However, AI told me that if I want blog posts to get traffic, I should consider sharing them on social media like X or forums like Reddit.

Only platform traffic will bring traffic and high-quality backlinks to blog websites.

Especially Bing, which values traffic coming from X.

So I plan to generate cover images with links for my blog posts and publish them to the blog.

X API

I added X’s API publishing feature to my app.

However, it prompted me that I had no quota. I looked into it, and it turns out I need to pay to use the API.

So I gave up and will just use the browser’s built-in X sharing function.

I’ve already tested sharing an article, and the image is viewable.

But for some reason, there’s a delay of a few minutes.

It made me think that sharing the cover image with a link had failed, but thankfully there were no major issues.

Other

My current thoughts:

Relying solely on Google and Bing search engines, after 3 months, I’ve only gotten a few search engine clicks.

Among these, Google went from indexing a dozen links to indexing zero. I don’t know what’s wrong with it.

It may simply be a coincidence, but it is still worth recording as a platform reliability concern.

Don’t give me any crap about self-checking. Google just loves spam sites, content farms, and gray-hat sites. It’s been decades, and it hasn’t changed.

Honest nerds would have been ruined long ago.
